“The first ministry we’d like to highlight is our Parish Food Pantry. We serve approximately 15 families at our bi-monthly pantry. The pantry distributes items such as fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, desserts, canned goods, meats, and more. While we mainly provide food, we want to make sure we can help families as much as possible and do have clothing and other items we distribute to them.
We work with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, local organizations, community members and businesses to stock and fund the pantry.
If you’d like to make a monetary or goods donation, please contact our Engagement Director, Megan at [email protected] or call our office at 412-381-0212. Right now, we do not need volunteers to staff the pantry, but as we have opportunities to volunteer with the pantry, we will share those in the bulletin!
The pantry is open the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m.—12:30 p.m. We also have emergency food available. If you know someone who may be interested in signing up for donations through the pantry, please let us know. All are welcome.
We are temporarily housing the Mt. Washington Food Bank, currently in the garage at 403 Grandview Avenue. It is on the 4th Tuesday of every month. For more information call 412-481-0425. The primary service area for this food bank is the neighborhoods ot Mt. Washington and Duquesne Heights with the zip code 15211.
