St. Mary of the Mount Church & St. Adalbert Church
Real Presence. These words describe Christ’s presence in the Eucharist. We believe that in this miracle he is present body, blood, soul, and divinity. At each Mass, he again offers himself as a sacrifice of love. This spiritual food we are given is not for us alone. Just as parents feed their children to give them the strength they need to live, Christ feeds us to become his presence for others. We, Christ’s Body now on Earth, are asked to examine our own call to be the Real Presence of Christ in the world.
As we journey through Lent as a parish community, we will reflect on our Baptismal mission in light of the Lenten Scriptures. We will learn about and pray about how our celebration of the Eucharist nourishes and transforms us. God nourishes us with his very body to unharden our hearts and allow him to minister to others, through us. His grace helps us discern and live that call in a world that so desperately needs the healing, peace, and transformation that only the Real Presence of Christ can provide.
