GriefShare is a 13-week grief support program for churches that is highly recommended, well respected, and widely used. GriefShare provides a Scripture based “safe, welcoming place where people come to understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in [coping with] grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability — and gain solid support each step of the way.”
We hope that you consider registering for our GriefShare group. This is a very meaningful ministry focused on accompanying those who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Our first GriefShare meeting will be on September 8 at 12:30pm (following 11am Mass). This session will be an introductory session focused on getting to know others and talk about the program. This will not be a formal meeting, but instead will be informational.
The first official GriefShare session will begin on September 15 at 12:30pm (following 11am Mass). This will begin our 13 week program as part of this group.
Please contact us to register for this group if you are interested. We want to make sure that we have an accurate count to provide materials for everyone in advance.
If you have questions about the program or are interested in registering, please contact Megan Girata, Director of Engagement, at [email protected] or 412-481-8380 and she will share more information as well as put you in touch with the program facilitators.
