Marriage Preparation at Mary, Queen of Peace Parish
Everyone preparing for marriage in the Catholic Church needs to take an approved Marriage Preparation Program or Class, sometimes called a "Pre-Cana Class." Our parish’s Marriage Preparation Program focuses on helping you build relationship and communication skills with your partner. You will explore deep listening, shared and individual value structures, and ways to create a meaningful life with a shared vision. While much of this work will be done between the two of you, your process will be supported by a sponsor couple. You will meet with your sponsor couple five or six times in a comfortable place (most often the sponsor couple’s home). The meetings can be completed over the course of a mutually-agreed upon timeframe, whether that’s over the course of six weeks or six months. This program fulfills your Pre-Cana requirement in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. For more information or to register for this program, please contact Holly Mohr. See contact information below.
