St. Mary of the Mount Church & St. Adalbert Church
Seeking dynamic leader(s) of innovative formation programming. Be part of serving an inclusive urban Catholic parish community. Leader of children’s programming oversees Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, sacramental preparation (First Communion, First Reconciliation, Confirmation) and Tween/Teen Ministry, as well as family initiatives. Adult leader oversees RCIA/OCIA, Young Adult Ministry, Small Discipleship Groups, sacramental preparation (Baptism and Marriage), and parish-wide formation.
The ideal candidate(s) will be committed to living our parish’s Community Covenant and to growing in their own formation. We seek a candidate who is inspired to help build an engaged community of disciples, active both within the parish and outside our doors. Many attributes situate us as a unique community: We are home to the Pittsburgh Catholic Deaf community; one of our campuses overlooks the city, while the other is located in one of the most iconic business districts. We seek a candidate whose passion is to invite others into expansive, creative community with Christ, one another, and the world around us. We believe formation should touch every aspect of us, teaching us what it means to pray, to see the world through the lens of the Gospel. We seek to create formation that leads to transformation, challenging us with our Church’s most treasured teachings, inspiring us to give selflessly and work for justice through systemic change. We seek to promote formation that helps lead us closer to the Beloved Community. B.A. in Theology, Education, or Related Field + ministry experience.
Opportunities for part-time (children and family formation only or adult formation only) or full-time (whole parish, inclusive of children and families, as well as adult formation).
Please indicate if you applying to one of the Part Time positions, or the combined Full Time position. Deadline is Friday 17th November 2023. Send coverletter and resumes and/or inquires to: [email protected]
