“Taste and see the goodness of the Lord...” Psalm 34, a well-known responsorial sung often in our parish, might be revised to read “Taste and see the goodness of Mary, Queen of Peace Parish,” encouraging us to think of all the wonderful things our parish has to offer.

Among them are our very active ministries. As we grow as a parish, it is heartening to see all the ways individual ministries from the former Prince of Peace and St. Mary of the Mount parishes have blended. They seamlessly continue to lead and inspire us in prayer and service.

Starting with November, each month this column will highlight the “goodness” of one of these ministries, featuring stories of individuals who are sharing the Lord’s goodness with all of us. At the end of that month, representatives will be present after all the Masses to greet you and offer more information about how you, too, might become involved. It is our hope that many more of us may be inspired by the stories of other “ordinary” parishioners to join in and enrich our own spiritual lives as well as that of the entire parish. Keep watching!
