Baptism

"And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  Matthew 28:18-20

Baptism is the first of the sacraments when we become members of the Body of Christ, His church; We enter into the life of Christ and thus, Christ enters into each of our particular lives. One of the three Sacraments of Initiation, Baptism is often called "the door of the church." For Catholics, the sacrament is not a mere formality; it is the very mark of a Christian, because it brings us into new life in Christ.

"Amen, amen I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born again of water and the Holy Spirit."  - John 3:5

IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A CHILD BAPTIZED

We require a Baptism session, and it is important for at least one parent and one godparent to attend.  Contact the parish offices to schedule a Baptism time.  

We celebrate Baptisms at Saint Mary of the Mount Church the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month, 12:30PM.  We celebrate Baptisms at Saint Adalbert on the first Sunday of each month after the 9:00AM Mass.  Parents must attend a Baptism Preparation Session.  Please call the parish office to register for this session.
